This is the short version of the ABR Log FAQ How do I get started. How do I enter notes. How do I read. What if I find a bug. How do I get help. How do I get started: Go to: https://secure.netsolhost.com/abrloggingandmining.com/logs You will be asked to sign in, Use your 5 digit id number and the password given you. You can choose either logging operations (writing notes) OR mining operations (reading notes). How do I enter notes: It is pretty self explanatory (I hope) once you understand squiggle notes which are explained on the first logging page and in the long faq. You can either type in your notes OR upload a file. The later is strongly recommended for longer notes, and almost mandatory for special forms. There are lot of buttons to choose from. Most problems are recoverable either by using the 'Discard/Clear' feature or lots of times just by putting the "Subject" back to 'No Subject'. *If you get stuck, try using the back button and changing your note -- esp putting the subject to "No Subject" in ordere to make another choice. Use the discard as a last resort. The most common mistake that will cause you a problem will be this: When you are working on a squiggle note, and want to keep adding to it, you may accidentally hit a submit button other than "Submit a Heading or ++ for a continuing squiggle". In that case your squiggle will be submitted as is and you won't be able to add to it. If it was just a heading, it will be converted to a plain note as it goes into the system. So you won't lose anything; you just won't be able to continue adding. to that squiggle. How do I do Special Forms. Download the forms to store on your computer. Take a copy of one and fill it out in your word processor. Then select the web page for that form from the obvious place you'll see. (Note, the 'Therapy Referral Form' gets uploaded into the usual basic page.) Then check any boxes as appropriate and upload your file. When you save your form/file from your word processor, you MUST save it as _text_ with line breaks (choose 'lf' line breaks if you can). See the long faq for GOTCHA's on word processors. How do I read. Get into the mining operations pages. Optionally open another browser window with logging pages so you can respond to what you read as you read. Mostly you'll be wanting to choose from the 'sections' page that comes up as the default. You'll learn more about rolling your own when you have special needs. What if I find a bug. FIRST, look at the 'KNOWN BUGS' file in the faqs directory. (You can get there from the home page) If your issue isn't listed there, email: doc@docw.com or you can skype to: mswrpr49_epas_usa (Soon we'll have a email contact form up on the home page). What if I need help Use the contact info just above. There are lots of fixes and features coming soon. Better security, better default times for reading (like the system remembering the last time you started reading), better page flow and lots of cleaning up of the various warts. (See the KNOWN BUGS file which also lists planned additional features.) Doc
